Social welfare policy are guidelines or laws put in place by a Government to improve the lives of the population living under it's rule. Examples of social welfare policy is the implementation and disbursement of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to retired or disabled individuals. These policies attempt to alleviate poverty and discrimination. They also protect an individuals, whether adult or child, personal rights, the economy, mental health or health issues, and any other social issues that may effect the citizens of a governed body.
